Narissa, Queen of Shadows

Narissa is a citizen of Thakria and a member of the Thieves Guild.

She is a Guild Elder.

History

Undoubtedly one of the more infamous Avalonians of the modern era, Narissa's youth was spent in the slums of Thakria, where she lived the life of an urchin, after being turned out from the brothel she was born in, growing to womanhood through poverty and strife. She made her way to Springdale, attempting to throw off her sordid past, but eventually found herself back in the sinful underworld of the Thieves. Her quick wits, light fingers, and fighting talents ensured she made a fast rise to the top, taking over as Guildmistress during a low point in the guild. Her dedicated work revitalized the Thieves, creating a powerful organization whose influence stretched across the land.

Narissa's commitment to progress helped her reinvigorate two cities, first Parrius, where she led aggressive military campaigns as their Field Marshall, and then Thakria, where her determined work and tangible results gained her the title of Princess. She is renowned both for her leadership, as evidenced in revitalising a malaise-ridden Thakria, and her temper, alienating on the one hand and winning loyal friends on the other. Narissa is also, ironically, known for her kindness to the youth, perhaps a throwback to her days as a lonely orphan, alone on the streets. It is agreed by all, however, that Narissa is one of the most interesting and dynamic of her generation.

On the 20th day of Midwinter 1200, she accepted citizenship of Thakria.

She was ejected as a citizen of Thakria by Prince Mohrion, the Fifth Element, on the 21st day of Midsummer 1233.

She was awarded the status of guild elder on the 7th day of Skyelong 1236.

She is known to be active in Avalon at this time.
