30.4 Avalon's network of alternative connection hubs.

A "hub" is a point, on the internet, controlled by Avalon but typically many thousands of miles from the actual game servers in Washington DC. They exist in an effort to offer alternatives, when parts of the internet may be lagged-up; by affording most users of the "hub" an alternate route from their home-location to the Avalon servers.

Recommended hubs:

	    texas.avalon-rpg.com
	    newyork.avalon-rpg.com
	    london.avalon-rpg.com

You can use the standard telnet port (default, port 23) when connecting via a hub but they are also useful for bypassing firewalls, since you are able to use ports 33, 443, and 8080 to get into Avalon. Very seldom is port 443 blocked out as it is used by all secure websites for https pages.

See related info: HELP LAG, HELP PING or HELP TRACEROUTE for more insight into the workings of the marvellous internet node-to-node hopping method of connecting you to us.
