If you are genuinely new to Avalon, and even more importantly if you are new to the concept of a Roleplaying World, you should think seriously about allowing yourself time to take a tour of Avalon. People around you will happily show you around if you ask then - type WISH FOR HELP or SHOUT HELP to attract some attention. You should also check out HELP DREAMS for useful information if you are stuck; they are quite comprehensive.

You may prefer or require the personal touch when seeking help. See HELP STAFF for information about the Avalon staff guides, or type GUIDES to find out whether any are available in the land with you. The staff guides will always be happy to help; any problems big or small. Likewise check out HELP GUIDING if you wish to gain detailed information on the role of the everyman guide (from the perspective of guiding youngsters yourself) or asking more experienced Avalonians to provide you with protection, information and even "insight" into this world.
